Jacobs started studying acting at the age of eight and took acting classes on Saturdays in the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She performed with Pittsburgh Public Theater. Pittsburgh Public Theater where she always competed for the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be cast in the role of Titania in their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs and graduating in 2000, Lebanon High School, moved to New York City New York where she studied at The Juilliard School. In 2004, she graduated with a bachelor's degree.
